The Apple Macintosh is 25 years old today. But Apple has been around a little longer than that – this is apparently the first ever TV ad for Apple from 1977. I kinda prefer this to the shiny advertising they do today?
Get well soon Steve.
I don’t think there are many British graphic designers working today who would not count Tony Hart as an influence in some way. RIP Tony.
Another memory from my childhood. The Tomorrow People was a UK sci-fi series aimed at gullible kids like myself. The title sequence was beautiful.
Very sad to hear about the passing away of Oliver Postgate yesterday. Oliver created many of my favourite childhood TV shows including, Bagpuss, Pingwings, Ivor The Engine, and of course The Clangers.
Whilst researching for the Higamos Hogamos album (previous post) I’ve started to enjoy The Goodies again. Hopefully we’ll get the commission from DC Recordings to make the first HH video in this style.
The Adventure game is probably one of my all-time favourite TV shows (maybe 2nd after The Muppet Show?). I always longed to challenge the dreaded Vortex! Please release a DVD boxset soon BBC!!
